Independent review of Nantes Business Plan

Avia has recently supported a consortium engaged in bidding for the concession to build and operate the proposed new airport in Nantes, France. This support involved the independent assessment of work undertaken by the consortium’s advisory team and supported the development of separate lenders case projections.

Our work included:

• A review of traffic forecasts including the development of high level alternative lenders case projections.
• A review of the consortiums business plan projections and methodologies including aeronautical revenues, non-aeronautical revenues and operational expenditure, highlighting potential forecast issues and suggesting modeling alternatives where necessary.

Our work resulted in the consortium adopting our specific advice and modeling approach with regards aeronautical charges. Our analysis was delivered within a narrow timeframe driven by a tight bid timetable, something which was appreciated by the client.
