• Civil Aviation Authority’s Head of Forecasting and Statistics. With the CAA he was responsible for the production of traffic forecasts for Government, providing a benchmark against which all other forecasts were measured.
• In addition, Stan was the CAA’sforecasting witness at over 15 airport public inquiries including Heathrow Terminal 5 and Manchester Runway 2. His expertise in the field of forecasting is widely recognised and unparalleled within the industry.

• Group Planning and Environment Director –BAA plc led the development of the BAA master planning process, which was implemented successfully at both Gatwick (where approval was gained to increase capacity from 30 mppa to 42 mppa) and Stansted (where approval was gained to increase capacity from 15 mppa to 25 mppa). At both airports, planning approval was negotiated with Local Planning Authorities resulting in public inquiries being avoided.
• Terminal Five Planning Director –responsible for preparation of Planning Case and managed a large team of professionals and consultants during the Public Inquiry.
